Faith. Judo and ju-jitsu, nothing can stop the Fuxéens!

“Toco y se gausos”, the famous motto of the county city resonated again across France on the weekend of March 11, thanks to the athletes of the Dojo.

First of all in Mèze (Hérault), where the Occitanie cadets first division final took place, a qualifying event for the French Championships. A tournament of a particularly high level, which brought together the best judokas in the region.

Unimpressed by the stakes and the quality of the fighters in the running, Lise Loubes and Léo Laguerre both climb to the third step of the podium, in their respective categories.

Excellent performances, which send them directly to the final of the French Cadet First Division Championships. These will take place on April 1 and 2, at the Judo Institute in Paris.

Note that they will join, on this occasion, Alexandre Soldevilla, qualified after having achieved the feat of integrating the Top 10 of the Ranking List, during his last competition which he won, in Toulouse.

European Championships

That same weekend, the Béthune-Bruay Arena in Verquin, in Pas-de-Calais, hosted the European U16-U18-U21 Ju-Jitsu Championships.

For three days, nearly 900 fighters competed on the tatami mats, including 140 French fighters selected during the last French Championships.

The Fuxean colors were defended by Alexandre Soldevilla who, although a cadet, was upgraded to compete in U21. All crowned with his title of vice-champion of France, Alexandre ends this extremely prosperous weekend for the Dojo of Foix, by obtaining the bronze medal.
