Fluminense knows opponents of the Libertadores 2023 group stage — Fluminense Football Club

Fluminense met on Monday night (03/25) its opponents in the Libertadores group stage. The draw for the keys was held at the entity’s headquarters, in Luque, Paraguay. Tricolor fell in Group D and will face River Plate-ARG, The Strongest-BOL and Sporting Cristal-PER in search of a place in the round of 16 of the continental competition.

Fluminense will debut in the Libertadores next week, when they face Sporting Cristal-PER, away from home, on a date and time yet to be defined. The group stage lasts until June 28, according to the Conmebol calendar. The round of 16 is scheduled for the second half of July. The quarterfinal clashes must take place between August 23rd and 30th, while the semifinals will be from September 27th to October 4th. The grand final will be played in a single match, scheduled for Maracanã, on November 11th.

The Libertadores group stage draw was broadcast live on FluTV. The live was attended by President Mário Bittencourt and Sports Planning Director Fred, with a presentation by Alexandre Araújo and comments by Phill.
