This Thursday, March 23 at the IUT of Longwy, in Lorraine, took place the French Cup of IUTs. Several sports on the program: Football, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby and Tennis. This event brings together students from all the IUTs in France.
Led and coached by Patrick Bentayou, the sports teacher from the IUT of Tarbes, six teams represented our establishment in the following disciplines: men’s rugby, women’s rugby, women’s handball, women’s and men’s basketball, men’s football.
The IUT is particularly proud of its students. The two rugby teams, those of women’s handball and basketball won the French Cup. The men’s basketball team finished 2nd. And the boys of the football team did not deserve by going to the round of 16. The students returned to the IUT at the beginning of the afternoon this Friday, March 24, welcomed as champions!
The IUT of Tarbes encourages students to play sports thanks to the Sports and Cultural Association of the IUT which organizes group and individual lessons in many disciplines.
