Member of theAsian Tour thanks to a qualification in mid-January at the Asian Cards, Jeremy Gandon finally kicks off its season this week in Hua In at the International Series Thailand. A tournament “boosted” to 2 million dollars in prize money.
Summoned in the first part at 6:45 a.m. local time (0:45 a.m. in France) from tee n°1, the Frenchman based in Dallas (Texas) started his campaign in the Far East rather well with a card of 70 (-2) studded with five birdies but also weighed down by a double and a bogey. He points to 63rd place, in the virtual cut.
« I feel like I optimized the score given the way I played todaysums up the Drôme, who could not qualify last week at the Monday Qualifier du Puerto Rico Open (PGA Tour). The course is quite generous on the tees and there is not too much danger around the greens. Just slightly steep greens. So that’s why the scores are generally low in this first round. We will keep the positive spirit of this day and adjust the target tomorrow (Friday) to get a good score… »
