62 pictograms symbols of elegance and cohesion

Pictograms have been a hallmark of the Olympics since Tokyo 1964, with a wide range of symbols to represent every type of sport. Since then, each host country has designed its own design, trying to keep up with the times. Furthermore, each of the pictograms is a symbol of honour, representing not only a sporting discipline but also a family: a set of values, a sense of community. It is in turn composed of three graphic elements: an axis of symmetry, a representation of the terrain and a representation of the sport it represents.

“The pictogram is also a symbol to keep”declared the President of Paris 2024 Tony Estanguet during the event for the launch of the look and the pictograms of the next Games. “When you are an athlete, you take pride in displaying your sport pictogram – pins, T-shirts… I remember collecting these items” Estanguet says again.

A revolutionary edition of the games is announced, where a strong sense of community and cohesion prevails.
