Everyone has been waiting for Manuellsen and Bözemann to meet for months. Since the Stuttgarter made a “White Power” joke at Manuellsen’s expense, both have repeatedly stated their intention to step into the ring against each other. However, little has happened in the six months since then.
But now it’s finally official. As has already been indicated recently, the two rappers will meet in the Octagon. After several months of negotiations in the background, an organizer, a place and a date for the fight were found.
GMC
In a recent video announcement by Manuellsen, it was already indicated that GMC could be won over as organizer of the event. This has now been officially confirmed. The German MMA Championship is the biggest MMA league in Germany and has already hosted some celebrity show fights.
boxing match
Now they let the rappers fight. As announced by GMC, the two will not compete in MMA, but will have a classic boxing match. Only the octagon will differ from normal boxing. The fight flyer explains that it is a “heavyweight boxing match”.
A show reel introducing manuals has been published on the GMC website. Another for Bözemann is to follow. The fight is planned for May 6th in the GMC Arena in Gelsenkirchen. In the fight announcement there is also a small dig at Universum Boxing, which has been described as “the sleazy corner of boxing”. Unlike Universum, the fight will not be broadcast on Youtube.
