The recovery after the holidays was good for most Montech Basket-Ball teams.
After sports vacations (training and internships), the girls from the development center took the measure of their respective championships and chained good meetings punctuated by victories.
U 13 F. This weekend, they ensured a great victory by 38 to 31 against Caussade. The objective was achieved thanks to a good defense which made it possible to win good balls. Alas! the beautiful collective attacks have not always resulted in a basket.
U 15 F. For their ninth interdepartmental championship match, the girls were expected in Bessières. Faced with a very determined team in attack, massed under the basket in defense, the Tarn-et-Garonnaises failed to put in place their good collective game. Deprived of balls, accumulating faults and violations, the first half was difficult. It took all the ingenuity of Alessia and the courage of all the players to finally take the game in hand and win by 45 to 32.
U 15 F 2. They could not play at Duravel as the ground was slippery and therefore impracticable.
U 18 F. They won the derby in Moissac by 53 to 48 after a very serious match against a team that had largely dominated in the first leg. Les Montéchoises were in the lead all game, but the last quarter was very stressful for the coaches.
U 13 G 1. After the victory in Montauban, the boys chained a second consecutive victory against Rabastens.
U 15 G. They leave Thierry speechless. The boys chain the defeats. You have to question yourself and play together to hope to win!
U 17 G. They played a serious match in attack and defense at Vacquiers, against poorly ranked boys. This meeting, very easy (101 to 47), made it possible to work on the ranges of the collective game for the rest of the competition.
Hobbies. They were eagerly awaiting the Fronton team which had beaten them in the first leg. After a few faults on the part of both teams and, alas! two injured in the opposing team, Montech won by 88 to 79 after a very close match.
U 9. They were on set in Montauban.
U 11 beginners. Victory at Caussade by 32 to 10 thanks to a very active defense. In attack, the young people still lack success in the basket.
Sunday March 19. In the morning, at Castelsarrasin, three U 11 Gs and three U 11 Fs will represent Montech at the Passage du Panier d’Or. In the afternoon, three U 13 G and three U 13 F will try to qualify for the regional phase of the Benjamins challenge.
