Paul Phoenix he is one of the wrestlers and historical characters in the series Tekken. Already present in the cast of the very first chapter of the series released in 1994 on cabinets and PlayStation, it was practically a constant in every game of the famous fighting game saga.

So we can say that there are two certainties in a game Tekken: The inclusion of Paul Phoenix in the roster of the game and his crew cut. At least, it was until now…because incredibly, Paul shows up in the ring of Tekken 8 with a new look…definitely unusual!

Other than a new hairstyle that looks like it was stolen from a K-pop boy band, not much has changed when it comes to his technique and the deadly death fist that Phoenix is capable of performing.

Using a hybrid mix of karate and judo, Paul delivers powerful and accurate blows to finish off the opponents.

As seen in the trailer, he still has his signature attack, the Fist of Death, which has a long build-up time but deals devastating damage on a hit.

As for the outfits, Phoenix seems to abandon his beloved red jacket, in favor of a jacket and leather pants, which go hand in hand with his historic love for motorcycles, which Bandai Namco seems to want to exploit even more with its design in Tekken 8.

Since it was presented at the 2022 State of Play, Bandai Namco has intensified the promotional campaign of its upcoming title, revealing more and more characters to thicken the roster in Tekken 8which grew slowly.

Kazuya and Jin Mishima, Jun Kazuma and Nina Williams have all been featured in staggered reveals over time and are all confirmed in the game.

We remember that this new chapter introduces a number of new graphical and technical improvements to the seriesbut the most important is in the combat system: l’Heat Systemwhich can be used to activate a heat blast that gives players more options to be aggressive in battle.
