Real Madrid wins the ticket for the Euroleague playoffs

MADRID, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Real Madrid has become the second team to secure its ticket for the 2022-2023 Euroleague playoffs with five days to go until the end of the Regular Phase of the competition.

The Madrid team, currently second ranked with a record of 20-9, was favored by the defeat this Tuesday (75-82) in the postponed match between Turkish Fenerbahce and Italian EA7 Armani Milan. As indicated by the Euroleague, this result means that no matter how many teams match their 20 wins because they would finish eighth or better due to tiebreakers.

In this way, the team coached by Chus Mateo joins the Greek Olympiacos in the qualifiers that give access to the ‘Final Four’ in Kaunas and will now seek to close the ‘field factor’ in the ‘playoffs’ as soon as possible, an objective for the one that now leads Fenerbahce by three victories, fifth and the only one that I can practically snatch from them since the sixth, Maccabi, is four with five games to go.
