Salies-du-Salat. Salies wants to regain momentum!

After a good month’s break, the Women’s Pre-National Basketball Championship will resume its rights on Sunday March 12.

It will be the 5th day (last of the go phase in accession and relegation chickens).

For the BCSS Salisiennes, it will be a delicate move to the Toulouse Cheminots Marengo Sports hall. Indeed the girls of the TCMS are currently ranked second with 7 points (3 wins for 1 defeat) and are trailing the leader, Basket Club Cunac-Lescure by a single unit. The Tarnaises of the BCCL compile 8 points in the standings, the only team to have achieved the “full card” (100% success in 4 games).

For the players of Basket Comminges Salies-du-Salat, the big poster that is looming will be an opportunity to start again after three consecutive setbacks. If the Salisiennes had gone to seek victory at Ouest Toulousain basket (71-37) to inaugurate their departure in the Play-offs, the rest proved to be much more complex with in particular two defeats at home on their floor. For the 2nd and 4th days, the BCSS had each time narrowly lost against Cunac-Lescure (56 to 58) then Montech (53 to 56). Another somewhat frustrating defeat being added on the field of Caramn BC (54 to 61), there again after a hard fight.

The BCSS therefore lost speed and slowly slipped in the standings to the penultimate place of the accession pool with 5 points garnered. Despite this negative spiral, it is good to note that the motivation and the qualities of the game (collective and individual) are still very present, as the rather tight scores of the games played by the Salies team clearly demonstrate.

Note that the meeting between the TCMS and the BCSS – Sunday March 12, 2023, SNCF M. Montaubrie gymnasium in Toulouse – will pit the two teams who finished at the top of their respective groups during the 1st qualifying phase. Toulouse and Salisiennes having achieved a similar and perfect course with 10 victories in the 10 games played.
