Elyes Exmelin, licensed at the Cornouaille dojo since 2019, obtained a bronze medal in -60kg at the Coupe de France minimes (13-14 years old). The event took place this weekend in Villebon sur Yvette (91). The under 60kg weight category had the top 54 judokas in the category. “It was in the 6th fight that Elyes had to bow, at the gates of the final, to nevertheless climb the 3rd step of the podium during a 7th decisive fight for a medal”, explains Samuel Mottin his coach on the day. . The young judoka was trained at the club of Soliers (Normandy), from the age of 4 years. This result, the first national level award for Elyes, is also the pride of its first teacher, Benoît Lemière present on site who was able to see the progress of the judoka. For Alyssa Tranvouez (-44kg), the other Cornish woman the course was more than exemplary (with 5 wins and 2 losses) won a place. A very satisfactory record for the Quimper club of 370 licensees.
