AC Ajaccio: Youcef Belaïli has disappeared again

The reappearance of Youcef Belaïli (31) in Ajaccio and on Ligue 1 pitches only lasted for one match. The one that the left winger of the promoted Corsican started and played for a little over an hour against Brest last Sunday (0-0). His return gave hope for a return to normality, after his “desertion” following his departure for the Algerian selection at the end of March.

The international (44 caps and 9 goals) then gave no sign of life. Until he sent an ultrasound on his smartphone to his leaders showing that he had injured his adductors. Which, according to him, justified his decision to stay for treatment in Oran, his hometown. Belaïli had just taken part in Algeria’s two qualifying matches for the African Cup of Nations against Niger (2-1, 1-0, March 23 and 27).

Preview at the airport on Tuesday evening

In a sign of appeasement, the leaders of AC Ajaccio then claimed a posteriori to be aware and to have given their agreement. Against all expectations, Belaïli reappeared in training on April 5. Then on the field therefore, after having missed the three previous matches of the ACA. This time, he left Corsica on his own, and still without permission from his club, which housed him until April 28. Belaïli was indeed seen boarding a plane at Ajaccio Napoléon-Bonaparte airport on Tuesday evening. Since then, no news. It seems that he returned to Oran. His departure seems to be a one-way trip.
