At the EstraForum building the charge of a thousand little judokas [notiziediprato.it]

Last weekend was the most anticipated of the year by the judo club Accademia Prato which hosted little judokas from all over Italy and beyond who filled the Estra Forum building.

On Saturday 15 April the under 15s took to the platform in the 1st “Città del fabric” Trophy organized by the yellow and blue club master Fabio Barni, while on Sunday the 4th “Barni Bruno Memorial” took place dedicated to the little ones who let loose on the 8 tatami dedicated to them with the sound of judo techniques, hugs, games and group dances guided by the event’s organizing company. A record weekend that recorded the presence of about a thousand athletes: incredible numbers, never recorded in other competitions designed for the little ones. To make the event shine even more was the presence of important athletes from the present and from the recent past who met at the Maliseti sports hall. Among them Giulia Quintavalle, Beijing 2008 Olympic champion; Marco Maddaloni, two times European champion and brother of the Sydney 2000 Olympic champion; Girolamo Giovinazzo: Olympic silver and bronze; Gaia Massimitti: cadet world champion 2022; Monica Iacorossi: silver at the military world championships 2013; Giovanni Alessio: bronze world cup Rome 2007. Together with them multiple Italian champions including Alessia Ritieni, Eva Prayer and the spearhead of the Prato company, Anita Cantini, who recently put on the eighth individual medal at the Italian championship by winning Coppa Italia A1 held two weeks ago in Ostia.
