Giulia Gwinn is currently injured. But now the Bayern star announces good news on Instagram. The teammates also congratulate.

Munich – Good things take time. That’s a well-known saying that now also applies to Giulia Gwinn.

The current Bayern star is slowly but surely making a comeback. Gwinn has been pausing since September last year because of a cruciate ligament rupture in his knee – but now the 23-year-old is spreading good news via Instagram.

“Thank you for your support”: Bayern star Giulia Gwinn announces good news

“Half a year has passed since my injury!” Gwinn writes on social media: “Let’s go to the last phase of rehabilitation…”, adding a footprint emoji to this sentence and adding: “THANK YOU for your support”.

Countless likes and comments from the DFB national team and FC Bayern, but also from teammates such as Linda Dahlmann, who is also currently injured, and who are all looking forward to Gwinn’s foreseeable return to the soccer field. Gwinn only shared a special moment on Instagram at the end of March.

Giulia Gwinn is working on her comeback: is she playing for Bayern again this season?

That’s when she showed up for the first time with soccer instead of just running shoes. Apparently because the Bayern star was able to complete the first session with the ball. Countless teammates reacted to this with heart or party emojis. Gwinn was also given a particularly warm welcome by the DFB team when she attended the friendly against Sweden (0-0). However, she “lost her way” in the stadium.

When exactly Gwinn can play again remains to be seen. She will probably no longer be available to FC Bayern this season. But even without the right-back, the FCB women have been doing extremely well this year – despite the bitter loss to Arsenal in the Champions League.

The Bayern girls have taken the lead in the Bundesliga after beating VfL Wolfsburg 1-0 in the top game. In addition, they have only conceded one goal in 2023 – that was at the start against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-1).

Who knows, maybe Gwinn will get a few more minutes of play at the end of May and possibly be able to celebrate winning the German championship. After the tough months of rehab, this would be a great story.

And don’t forget: The Women’s World Cup will take place in New Zealand from July 20 to August 20, 2023 – maybe with Giulia Gwinn… (smk)
