“Buffet”: Where are the Olympic billions? Each country prepares Olympians for the Games at its own expense

In this episode of “Buffet”, the guest of “tv3.lv” sports editor Jānis Janševics and MVP editor-in-chief Ingmāras Jurisons is Armands Puče – journalist, writer and member of the executive committee of the Latvian Olympic Committee.

“I will especially underline the fact that each country pays for the Olympic Games,” said Armands Puche in the podcast.

The budget of the Latvian Olympic Committee this year is 11.7 million euros, and most of it is state funding – 6.7 million. For this money, Latvia also prepares and takes its Olympians to the Games.
