Creoles took over the podium in taekwondo

Creoles reigned in the second taekwondo match for the ALBA V Games. This discipline added more than three gold metals on Sunday.

Edgar Contreras was one of the figures who won the gold in the -80kg, followed by David Robleto from Nicaragua who would take silver, while Junior Piñango shared the bronze with Cuban Yunier Quintosa.

For the -74kg, the podium would once again stand out with the Venezuelan talent. Abraham Vallenilla led the award ceremony, escorted by his compatriot Jhoan Cedeño and finally Jonathan Zuniga (Nicaragua).

Luis Acosta with his great performance sounded the “Glory to the brave people” at the time of the imposition of medals. The representative of Cuba, Angel Fernández won silver, in third place there would be another tie for bronze between Alexander Ruiz and Renato Hernández, a native of Nicaragua.

Lastly, Alexmar Sulbaran (gold) and Naholy Bastidas (bronze) participated in the -57kg category. The first narrowly won the gold medal, but was defeated by her Cuban opponent Zalarit Cortez.

The local delegation remains at the top of the ranking for the fourth consecutive day, collecting 186 medals in total, divided as follows:
