SPORTS. Twenty-five children and members of their family, parents, grandparents or brothers and sisters, took part on Sunday April 2 in a morning called “Family Judo”, offered by the Judo-Club Marnaval/Saint-Dizier at the Laurent dojo .
Several instructors from the Marnavalais club, namely Marie-Christine Monnet, Alexandre Ponty, Olivier Néault and Baptiste Vincent, were present to surround Denis Martin who led the session. He detailed the different belts and explained the codes of judo including the ceremonial. Judogis were loaned to families. After a warm-up based on playful games, some standing and ground techniques were performed before the session ended with a jujitsu workshop initiated by Denis Martin.
The objective was for each child to bring a relative to discover judo together. The young judokas enjoyed sharing their passion and showing their progress. Awareness was rather successful and perhaps this morning will have aroused the desires of some parents to take up judo and why not integrate the club into its leisure section.
