The duel between Fluminense and Madureira, valid for the fifth round of the Under-20 Carioca Championship, ended without goals. The clubs tied 0-0, this Friday (21/04), in Conselheiro Galvão, even after a game with good deeds for both sides. With the result, Tricolor goes to ten points and reaches the vice-leadership of the competition.

Moleques de Xerém had great moments throughout the 90 minutes. In the first half, Arthur, masterfully taking a free kick, forced the goalkeeper to work. Afterwards, the completion of the entrance to the area by Luiz Freitas, served by João Lourenço, took paint off the beam.

After the break, Flu took on other long-distance shots, demanding good defenses from the archer, like the one that, at the beginning of the second stage, prevented Arthur’s goal again. In the end, Jefté took the mark and, with space, risked the shot from afar. The ball went close, but ended up going out the bottom line.

The team led by coach Ricardo Resende returns to the field on Tuesday (25/04), when they face Atlético-MG, at 3 pm, at Estádio Vale das Laranjeiras, in Xerém, for the eighth round of the Brasileirão.
