In the next season, a team named “Rīgas Zeļļi” may compete in the Latvian-Estonian basketball league (LIBL), which is made up of the members of the basketball program “Łdenszeļļi”, the portal “sportacentrs.com” reports.

The media has received the potential team’s offer to sponsors. “Rīgas Zeļļi” will be a privately financed club, which has already found several supporters, but the opportunity to participate in the club’s activities is also offered to natural persons who can become members of the club.
The sports manager and one of the hosts of the “Udenszellļi” program, Edgars Buļs, is said to be the president of the club, and he said that the project is still in the idea phase and there is still a lot of work to be done before its implementation in practice. “For now, we cannot claim that this idea will be realized in practice,” he said.
Cooperation has also been achieved with the basketball school “Rīga” and RTU, which this season competed with their teams in the “Ramirent” National League, cooperation is also with the Cēsis sports school.
The portal “sportacentrs.com” reminded that the program also gave the club its beginnings in football. That’s how Jurijs Zhigaevs laid the foundation for the club FK “PPK/Betsafe” with the program “Pa Paris kausiem”.
