This Friday, the 21st, the Grêmio Football School kicked off the 16th Tricolor Cup. The event takes place at CT Parque Cristal, in Porto Alegre, between April 21st and 23rd. The competition is the most important of the Institution’s annual calendar, which brings together Grêmio’s Affiliated Schools from across the country.
The opening ceremony was attended by the vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Club, José Carlos Duarte. On the occasion, he took the opportunity to welcome the presence of all partner schools, athletes, commissions and family members. “For us it is an honor to welcome you all here, you are the future of our Grêmio”, he concluded.
The tournament has the participation of the men’s categories under-11, under-13 and under-15, bringing together 26 teams from Affiliate Schools from the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná, Rondônia and Rio Grande do Sul. In addition to the headquarters School teams, the following schools are also confirmed: Raça Tricolor, from Guaíba – RS, Super Craque, from Alvorada – RS, Escola do Odair, from Erechim – RS, R’N Craques do Futuro, from Campo Bom – RS , Academy Football, from Santa Rosa – RS, Grêmio Accessus, from Lajeado – RS, Garra, from São Miguel do Oeste – SC, Grêmio Chapecó, from Chapecó – SC, J6 Soccer, from Londrina – PR, CT Ayres Boll, from Vilhena – RO.
Currently, more than eight thousand students are linked to the Grêmio School, between the Porto Alegre headquarters and the more than 70 Affiliated Schools throughout the country and abroad. For this reason, the Copa Tricolor, in addition to the athletes and committees, reaches more than 2 thousand people, who pass through the competition daily.
