Ibiza achieves a great booty of 26 metals in the Balearic badminton

Last Saturday the Sub11, Sub15, Sub19 and Senior Balearic Islands Championship was held in the Municipality of Porto Cristo (Palma). Up to there, a total of 25 Ibizan athletes traveled among all categories. Once again, Pitiuso badminton once again displayed its high level and achieved a huge haul of 26 medals (12 gold, seven silver and seven bronze).

Highlight the dominance in the sub11 and sub19 category where more than half of the golds at stake were achieved. In addition, the youngest of the expedition, Gema Barea, still under 11 in her first year, won the triple crown of the Balearic Islands, winning in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

The Ibizan results were: in sub11; Hugo Palberg (IM, DX champion and DM Runner-up), Óscar García (DM Runner-up), Nil Masallera, Gabriel Trigueros, Gema Barea (triple crown), Jimena Rodríguez (DF champion). In sub15; Naira Ribas (IF and DF champion), Sara Tur (DF champion), Sofía García (DX champion), María García (DX runner-up), Oliver Palberg (DM runner-up), Julián Coll (DX runner-up), Ángel Montesino, Nicola Starace.

In sub19, Victoria Gutiérrez (DF, DX champion and IF runner-up), Ainhoa ​​Cabrera (DF champion and DX runner-up), Yaidel Gil (IM and DX champion), Ramón Rovira (DM champion and IM runner-up), Joan and Marc Guasch (runners-up DM), Nacho Francés (DM champion), Yulien Gil (DX runner-up), Ismael Oballe.
