In the “judo del Po” trophy, the athletes from Cesena climb to the top step of the podium

The athletes of the sports group “Judo Kodokan Cesena 1966” showed everyone their grit at the “5th Judo Trophy of the po” in Suzzara open to federations and institutions.
The best teams from the region and from other regions were present at the event, with all athletes well trained. After checking the weight of the athletes, the competitions began.

The meetings directed by referees from the Ado (oriental disciplines association) continued throughout the day on two tatami (judo mats).
The Kodokan Cesena took part in the event with five athletes ready to win the first places on the podium: cadet: Riccardo Santoro and finally the seniors: Andrea Maggiolini, Giulio Palumbo, Marco Brandolini and finally Jessica Casadei Dichy. The first to be called the cadet Riccardo Santoro who despite the great supporters of Cesena finds himself in front of very good athletes, works really well but loses the final and is classified second, now it’s up to the seniors, Marco Brandolini behaves well and in the end he is classified first . It’s Andrea Maggiolini’s turn on the tatami number one and Giulio Palumbo on the tatami. Our two athletes give it their all, really good because their weight category was full of athletes but they both fight until the end like champions, the first gets on the podium third place and the other in second place, really good.

In the early afternoon it was Jessica Casadei’s turn, who performed the role of referee, but she very quickly removed the referee’s uniform and immediately puts on the judogi (judo uniform) and begins to compete, winning and winning again her opponents, in the end the highest step she conquers it first, fantastic demonstration by all our athletes. Great satisfaction for the Cesena fans and in particular for the master Vladimiro Burioli, who with his collaborators the technicians Francesco di Leonforte and Michael Zoffoli fifth dan black belts, who has been taking care of the agonists with dedication and professionalism for years.
