Jae Crowder, stunned by what he experienced in Milwaukee

Jae Crowder has starred in one of the most famous stories of the 2022-23 season. A confrontation with the Phoenix coaching staff, who wanted to change his role on the team, led him to ask for a trade and not play for five long months until being sent to Milwaukee at the trade deadline. He seemed like a perfect fit. Someone with his experience and qualities came to a group with ring aspirations. What could go wrong?

The forward had to ask himself that same question then, who, however, has ended up verifying that there were real options for everything to go wrong. Arriving at the playoffs, a moment in which he has shone the most in recent years, he has found himself with zero minutes in Game 4 against Miami and with only 18 seconds in Game 5, which meant the final elimination of the Bucks by 4- 1. He just doesn’t understand what happened.

“I’ve never been in a situation like that. Eleven years. Check my resume. I have been playing. I have always been playing. I am very confused as to why I was brought here. I don’t know what my purpose here is and why I was brought here. I’ve never been without a game in my career, why start now?” he tells Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Though unhappy, Crowder isn’t closing the door on a return to Milwaukee this summer, at which point he’ll be a free agent; Of course, he has to be clear that it will be important for Mike Budenholzer.

«I would return because in the locker room there is a great group of boys who put work first and who know how to have fun after that. I get to work in that kind of environment and I really appreciate my teammates for welcoming me. From day one I have received a lot of love in that regard. In any case, it is a conversation that must be had », he sentences.
