Joan-Benjamin Gaba, last holder at the world championships

Joan-Benjamin Gaba will experience his second world championships.

His victory yesterday in his test match against Benjamin Axus left little doubt. This afternoon the selection committee made it official: Joan-Benjamin Gaba will be the holder of the Doha World Championships (May 7-14, Qatar) in -73kg. He is the ninth and last selected for this event. For the team competition, surprise, with the choice of Orlando Cazorla in -73kg, while Joseph Terhec and Emre Sanal are both selected in +90kg.
