Ligue 2: Amiens dismisses Hinschberger

Beaten in Grenoble 2-1 on Saturday, the Amiens team remains on three consecutive defeats (twelve in total) and points to 11th place in Ligue 2 with 37 points, six points ahead of Laval, 17th and first relegated.

In a statement released on Monday, the leaders explained their decision. “The management committee of Amiens SC has taken by mutual agreement the decision to relieve Philippe Hinschberger of his responsibility for the professional team, explains the said press release. He remains an employee of the club. Patrice Descamps (director of the training center) takes over as head of the technical staff from today (this Monday) until the end of the season. Julien Ielsch will join the technical staff. The club thanks Philippe for these two years at the head of the professional team which notably brought us to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France 2022 in Monaco. »

Passed in particular by Niort, Laval and Metz, Hinschberger, 63, agreed to be replaced on the bench while remaining at the club until June 30, the date of the end of his contract. In addition to Descamps, head of the training center, Ielsch, former player and current coach of the U17 Nationals (head of their group), and Percin, Hinschberger’s assistant so far, will be at the helm of the professional team.

Arrived in 2021, Hinschberger was the tenth coach of Amiens since the arrival at the controls of Joannin during the 2008-2009 season – after Thierry Laurey, Serge Romano, Ludovic Batelli, Francis De Taddeo, Olivier Echouafni, Samuel Michel, Christophe Pelissier , Luka Elsner, Oswald Tanchot.

The new formula Amiens SC welcomes Nîmes, 19th, to the Licorne stadium as part of the 30th day, Saturday at 7 p.m.
