The semi-final of tournament WTA 500 de Charleston (clay) between the St-Galloise Belinda BencicWorld No. 11 and defending champion, and American Jessica Pegula (3rd), seeded No. 1, was interrupted Saturday by rain and will continue on Sunday at 11 a.m. local time.
Bencic won the first set 7-5, but Pegula led 4-2 in the second set tie-break before the match was interrupted at around 8:00 p.m. (03:00 GMT) local time.
The winner of the match will find Ons Jabeur (5th), finalist last season, precisely against Bencic.
