Captain Indonesian U-20 National Team Muhammad Ferarri revealed the importance of the President’s arrival Joko Widodo for the Garuda squad that was canceled to compete in 2023 U-20 World Cup.

Ferarri and his colleagues trained at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday (1/4) the arrival of Jokowi, who the day before called Erick Thohir planned to meet Indonesian U-20 national team players.

In a brief meeting at SUGBK, Jokowi provided morel support and encouraged Shin Tae Yong’s foster children. Jokowi also gave the players the opportunity to speak.

After the talk, Ferarri also shared his impressions after Jokowi visited the U-20 Indonesian National Team.

“It’s nice to be able to meet the President in person and I’m very grateful to have met him, and yes, the situation isn’t good either,” said the Persija Jakarta player.

“The important thing is that Mr. President comes, if he can treat the children’s injuries,” he continued as quoted from the YouTube video of the Presidential Secretariat.

Ferarri did not deny the chaotic situation he and his colleagues were in after learning that Indonesia had failed to hold the 2023 U-20 World Cup, which meant eliminating tickets for the U-20 Indonesian National Team as contestants.

“Early on I knew I was involved in social media think I can only be relieved because as players we only focus on training and playing matches and don’t really care about anything outside of that,” said the player who plays as a center back.

The U-20 Indonesian National Team was declared disbanded by Shin Tae Yong and no longer had a training agenda. Several players received calls to train with the U-22 Indonesian National Team who were preparing for the 2023 SEA Games, while the majority returned to their respective clubs.
