Progetto Giovani Cantù: the four groupings of the Under19 national finals have been defined.
Progetto Giovani Cantù: the team from Brianza is included in group D with Stella Azzurra Roma, Virtus Siena and Aquila Trento
The Under19 team of the Progetto Giovani Cantù with Columbus license plate knows its opponents in the next national category finals which will take place from 8 to 14 May in Agropoli in the province of Salerno. The Cantù team directed by coach Matthias Costacurta finished second in interregional group 3, has now been included in group D and will face the same age group as Stella Azzurra Roma (1st place in Group 5), Virtus Siena (2nd place in Group 2) and Aquila Trento (3rd place th place in Group 1) .
The Italian Trophy dedicated to the unforgettable former coach also from Cantù, Gian Carlo Primo, will be played by the 16 best Italian teams, divided into 4 elimination rounds of 4 teams each who will meet with the Italian formula with one-way matches. The winners of each group will be admitted directly to the quarterfinals. The runners-up and third-placed teams in each group will be admitted to the play-offs. The winners of the play-offs will advance to the quarterfinals. The winners of the Quarterfinals will be admitted to the Semifinals. The two losers of the Semifinals will play the final for 3rd and 4th place, the two winners of the Semifinals will play the Scudetto final.
15 teams have already qualified for the Agropoli finals. The sixteenth and last will come out of the play-offs scheduled in Rome on 17 and 18 April.
