The Orleans Masters 2023, from April 4 to 9is special for many reasons.

For the first time since the creation of the new categories of the BWF in 2017, the French tournament is labeled Super 300the fourth rung on the international circuit, after four contested editions as Super 100.

But it is also the scene of the last match of the career of Brice Leverdez, who retired from work at the age of 36. A true pioneer of French badminton, particularly in men’s singles, he reached 19th place in the world in 2018 and participated in three Olympic Games: London 2012, Rio 2016 et Tokyo 2020.

For his part, Toma Junior Popov is trying to win a third consecutive title.
