The 2023 Regional Judo Universiade will be held at the Xalapeña capital with headquarters in the “Miguel Ángel Ríos Torres” University Gymnasium of the Veracruzana University, competition that is the prelude to the National Universiade that will be in Sonora, an event endorsed by the National Council for Sports and Education, CONDDE.
The Falcons will be in command of the teacher Juliana Palma Valerio and will be made up of 22 elements, divided into different categories and both branches.
They will have as rivals the teams from Puebla Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, Hidalgo within Region VIII, where all will seek the pass to the National Universiade.
The members of the representative of the Maximum House of Studies in Veracruz come from different regions as divided by the Universidad Veracruzana and will arrive in this city a day before, to take part in the fair, which will start with the weigh-in ceremony, to then give way to confrontations, in a marathon day.

There will be 22 members of the selective team of the Hawks of the Universidad Veracruzana; nine are from the female branch, including Sarahi Pearl Macin Fuentyes, Alejandra Valerio Barradas, Rita Esmeralda Ortega Cardenas, Araceli Sanchez Diaz, Abi Julieta Ortigoza Ramirez, Karen Yuritzy Hernandez Butron, Dione Danae Rodriguez Cruz, Yasareth Juliana Hernandez Mendoza, Luz Haydee Olivares Medina and Paola Aimee Olivares Medina.
