The 2023 Draft concluded; Rams led the NFL with 14 picks

For their part, no one had fewer picks than the Dolphins, who were also one of two teams without trades in the draft.

It ended on the third and last day of the 2023 NFL Draftwith teams depleting their pending selections for the last four rounds of the event.

In all, 259 players were recruited in total by the 32 teams in the NFL throughout the event, with many more agreeing to contracts as undrafted free agents after the draft.

Two universities of the SEC they shared the honor of having the most selections this year. Alabama y Georgiawho have combined to win the last three championships in the College Football Playoffincluding the last two for the Bulldogssaw 10 players from each of the programs being selected during the order of selections.

The SEC was the conference that brought in the most prospects overall, with 62. The Conference USA only contributed three players to the Draft 2023the fewest among the 11 conferences in the FBS.

after them, Michiganfrom Big Tenmanaged to place nine prospects among the draft picks.

Only seven conference universities in the Power-5 they left without recruits this year: Vanderbilt, Indiana, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Kansas y Duke.

By your side, Houston was the college with the most recruits from a conference outside of the Power-5with four.

No position brought in more recruits this year than cornerback, with 35. Four of them came in the first round. They were followed by wide receivers, with 33.

Then there was a significant gap to the next few picks in terms of most draftees, with safeties and defensive tackles tying for third at 21.

The fifth round was the one that delivered the most quarterbacks, four, one more than the three that were chosen in the initial round.

In all, 129 defensive players were chosen in the draft, against 124 offensive players. Six other special teams players were selected.

Los Angeles Rams They had no first-round pick, but were the most active team, with 14 total picks. The Rams they had only four through the first four rounds, but they dispatched with 10 picks in the final three rounds.

Los Jacksonville Jaguars y Green Bay Packers they tied for second place, with 13 selections each. The Indianapolis Colts y New England Patriots, with 12 shifts each; and the Chicago Bears y Seattle Seahawkswith 10 shifts each, were the clubs that left the Draft 2023 with double digits of recruits.

No one executed fewer picks than the four of the Miami Dolphins. Los Denver Broncos y Carolina Panthers they only added five prospects, respectively, at the event.

Los Houston Texans led all teams with eight draft-day trades, tying the Patriots 2018 for the most draft-day trades since 1990.

Only two teams did not make a draft-day trade this year, the Dolphins y Los Angeles Chargers. This is the second year in a row that the Dolphins don’t finalize a draft-day trade, while the Chargers they have consummated only two since 2017.
