The judo club is in good shape

At the last annual general meeting, the Judo-club wasseyen was able to discuss its various projects for 2023.

After the traditional thanks, in particular to the sponsors and the municipality represented by Alexandre Vignon, Clément Humbert, president of the association, first of all underlined that the Judo-club wasseyen remained a living association despite the torments caused by the health crisis. , which required many adaptations for the practice of judo to continue.

Focus on partnership

The president traced in detail all the events that have punctuated the life of the club over the year, stressing that today the club has more than sixty members. On the other hand, the club still encounters difficulties in finding a ju-jitsu trainer. To conclude his remarks, the president welcomed the good collaboration with the clubs of the department and ended with this sentence: “The life of the club is the commitment of each one”.

The financial report was presented by Thierry Hesling, treasurer, reporting a stable situation, specifying that the major item of expenditure concerns the travel of coaches. The treasurer expressed his thanks to the City for the investment made in changing the tatami mats.

Looking to the future also means having plans. For 2023, the Judo-club wishes to continue and develop its partnership with the other clubs in the department. It is true that it is already bearing fruit with numerous interclub training sessions. Also important project for the leaders, the training in module 2 in self-defense. This module is part of a more professional approach since it is aimed more at people who are in contact with the public confronted with violent behaviour.

Finally, the club wishes to purchase teaching materials and also receive departmental events more often. The last proposed project aims to organize internships with young people like the Christmas one.
