Today, Saturday 1 April, Badminton Denmark’s representative board meeting was held. Among other things, there was an election campaign for the post of team tournament manager and 10 other posts in Badminton Denmark’s main board and committee, just as a legislative amendment was adopted.
First of all, it was also at today’s board of representatives meeting that Badminton Denmark got a new chairman, as Kristian Pihl was elected as chairman without opposing candidates. This also meant that Tore Vilhelmsen, who did not want re-election, had his last day as chairman after his chairmanship of almost three years.

Kristian Pihl was elected unopposed. He takes over from Tore Vilhelmsen, who did not want re-election.

Tore Vilhelmsen was elected as chairman in September 2020, and he thus held the post for large parts of the Covid-19 shutdown. He was praised for his commitment, his ideas and his strategic as well as political work as chairman when Jens Dall-Hansen spoke on behalf of Badminton Denmark and Badminton Denmark’s executive board and wished Tore all the best in the future.
