Lots of competitions in the north and lots of medals for the athletes!
Hanseatic Cup in Greifswald:
On the weekend of March 25th and 26th, 2023, the 18th Hansecup of BC Vorpommern took place in the Hanseatic city of Greifswald. A great traditional tournament with over 700 fighters and international participants from Sweden, Denmark and Poland. 7 TuRaners took the long way to Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and were able to win a remarkable yield with 6 medals.

Bremen Masters U21, 26.3.:
At one of the largest tournaments in the world, the Judo International Masters Bremen, organized by the Bremen Judo Club, Marcel Fürtig took part with the selection of the Hamburg Judo Association. He was defeated twice, first by a Japanese player and then by a Swiss player. But to compete as the youngest among around 80 starters from 18 nations is also a big deal.
Team fight at Bramfelder SV, 25.3.:
18 TuRan athletes aged 9-13 followed the invitation of Bramfelder SV for a joint training session followed by a team fight. After 90 minutes of training and randori we lost 7:13 in the team fight, but for many it was their first competition ever and the focus was therefore: gaining experience. Kyu preparation Langenhorn, March 24th:
And then 5 of our athletes prepared for their blue and brown belts at the SC Alstertal-Langenhorn (SCALA) in Langenhorn.
