Julio Urías won his third win in as many starts, after beating the Giants on Tuesday night in San Francisco. The final score was 9-1.
Urías worked six innings of four hits, one earned run, two walks and eight strikeouts. He threw 96 pitches of which 62 were strikes (65%). He got three outs via ground ball and six fly outs.
It’s the first time Julio has won three starts to start the season. In 2021 he went as far as 4-0 in the win-loss record, but he went to a no-decision in both his third and fifth starts.

If the Dodgers’ rotation stays the way it is, Urías would pitch Sunday at home against the Cubs. There he would have the opportunity for the first time in his career, to add four victories in the month of April.
But whatever happens, in his next game, he is within reach of the fifteenth position on the list of Mexican pitchers with the most strikeouts in Major League Baseball (MLB), currently held by Miguel Ángel González.
“El Mariachi” finished his career with 617 and right now, the Culiacán native lefty has 613.
