MADRID, 19 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Cádiz CF beat Real Valladolid 2-0 this Friday in the opening match of matchday 35 of LaLiga Santander, thanks to a double by Congolese striker Théo Bongonda in the second half, making the Cadiz team breathe in the tight fight for the permanence, where his rival has entered into a spin.

At the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium, the locals showed more bite and even missed a penalty after half an hour of the game. Rubén Alcaraz crashed his shot off the crossbar, thanks to a maximum penalty that Jawad El Yamiq had committed when he brought down Chris Ramos.

Despite Alcaraz’s failure from 11 meters, Cádiz had a prize midway through the second half. Bongonda opened the account at 70′ with a very nice goal, due to a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the area. Barely six minutes later, the Congolese converted another penalty that had been committed by rival defender Javier Sánchez.

After this good harvest, Cádiz reached 38 points and left the player from Valladolid with 35 points. Fifth consecutive defeat for the Blanquivioleta team, which leads Getafe CF by just one point. Thus, the azulones will have an opportunity against Elche CF this Saturday (6:30 p.m.) to come out of relegation with a win.
