The innovative golf tournament will be held on November 16 and 17, 2023 at the Atlas Country Club

“We will have our annual golf tournament, an unprecedented event in terms of golf here in the city of Guadalajara. Especially for the athletes who are with us on this occasion”, mentioned Rodríguez.

The tournament will bring together the best exponents of golf in our country, Carlos Ortiz and Abraham Ancer, and will also have the presence of the Spanish Sergio García and Eugenio López Chacarra. These four golfers will form a team within the competition.

“It has been an effort by many people to get these four golfers together. Taking advantage of the fact that both Carlos and Abraham are already part of LIV Golf, we talked to the rest of the team and they all said yes. Forming together with Sergio and Eugenio the Fireballs”, added Fernando.

Mexico’s top-ranked golfer turned professional in 2013 and has recorded three victories, including the 2019 Australian Open. He reached a career-high world ranking of 11th in 2021 and has represented his country in a variety of international team competitions.

Known for his consistency, especially off the tee, Ancer was part of Mexico’s team at the 2020 Olympics.

Carlos Ortiz / Mexican

Born in Mexico, Ortiz has six professional wins and has spent more than 80 weeks of his career in the world’s top 100, with a highest ranking of 44th.

He enjoyed two top-five finishes at the LIV GOLF INVITATIONAL SERIES in 2022, at Portland and Bedminster. It was his birdie putt on the final hole in Portland that lifted FIREBALLS GC to his first podium finish. Ortiz has won at the highest level since he turned professional in 2013 and represented Mexico at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
