Barcelona PG. Towards ASD Basket Barcelona 4.0. together with Orsa Basket for the relaunch of basketball in Serie B

A new sports and social project for basketball in the city of Longano, launched with the public assembly to launch ASD Basket Barcelona 4.0.

The denomination is significant in order to highlight the best moments that have made the history of basketball at Palalberti, from Capizzi’s basketball, passing from Cocuzza to the era of Basket Barcelona with Bonina up to the last period of Orsa Basket Barcelona which they rekindled enthusiasm in the city by conquering Serie B and relaunching the youth sector, with over 120 children followed by the Giallorossi staff with dedication and professionalism.

The association to be established will take the title free of charge and without any debt from Orsa Basket Barcellona, ​​and after all the fulfilments the new reality will be formed with its own organizational chart. 25 founding members have already joined the project with the aim of reaching at least 50 units.

The initiative was presented at the Palalberti in a public assembly by the Director General of the Orsa Renzo Crisafulli accompanied by the managers Bartolo Mancuso and Massimo Romano.

In this new sporting project, Orsa Basket will always be dedicated to mini-basketball and the youth sector in synergy with ASD Basket Barcelona 4.0.

During the meeting, the criticalities of Palalberti were also highlighted, which requires urgent maintenance interventions, from the restoration of various points of the roof, to the boiler and the lighting system, lacking in some parts. On these issues, Orsa Basket is trying to work on an agreement with the municipal administration to renew the management of the structure in via zigari.

Finally, even with the new sporting reality that will start from Serie B, the mission and philosophy on the selection of athletes does not change, young people ready to give everything for the shirt and to sacrifice themselves for the Giallorossi cause. Meanwhile, the concentration for those born between 2004 and 2006 has been set for June 3, under the vision of coach Pippo Biondo and the technical staff Peppe Pirri and Antonio Nania, with Giuseppe Costantino also present.
