David Carvajal and Álvaro Morán shine in El Escorial

the quarry of Recreational IES La Orden returned to star in a successful weekend both nationally and internationally. David Carvajal and Álvaro Morán once again stood on the podium in the Top Master Sub 15 and Sub 19 held last weekend in San Lorenzo del Escorial.

Carvajal hung the gold of the Men’s Doubles Under 15 together with his partner Asier Torres from Almería, and managed to qualify to the quarterfinals in the individual, while Morán did a double, achieving silver in Men’s Individual and Mixed Doubles Under 19 together with Elena Payá from Alicante.



Likewise, Rubén Carreras also demonstrated a good level of competition in the YONEX Bozner Cup U17 International 2023 played in Italy, where he managed to advance to qualify in the round of 16 of the Male Singles and in the quarterfinals of Mixed Doubles.

Spanish University Championships

The onubense club also had a prominent turnout in the Spanish University Championships 2023 held in Valladolid. The players of the IES The Order Adrian Marquez, Alejandro Perez, Karen Martin, Izaro Eraña and Alba Padilla were in charge of representing the University of Huelva in an event in which about 75 universities from all over the country have gathered. The people from Huelva achieved their best classification after reaching the quarterfinals in Men’s Doubles.

For their part, the players of the albiazul team Pablo Abián and Alberto Perals were proclaimed champion and runner-up of the Male Singles representing the San Antonio de Murcia Catholic University (UCAM) and the University of Alicante, respectively.
