A total of eight athletes from the Judo Club Torremolinos will take part in the championship space of judo katas where, for the first time, the juvenile, infant and cadet categories will be present. The national competition will take place this coming Sunday, June 4, at the Francisco Valcárcel pavilion in the Madrid town of Villaviciosa de Odón.
The Torremolina entity will go to the national gimp with four couples and a coach representing Andalusia. Specifically, they will compete in Nage no Kata junior, Diana Corts Garrido and Laura Corts Garrido, in Nage no Kata cadet, Carmen Sed and Almudena Van Herwijnen, in Katame no kata junior, Pall Josefs and Ral Van Herwijnen, who lead the national ranking.
Finally, in Ju no kata junior, Arian Leguinagoicoa and Bianca Derewicki will be present, who occupy second place in the national ranking. In addition, Juan José Cortés Molina will attend as coach of the Andalusian team.
On the other hand, this past weekend the judoka Carlos Romero was present with the Andalusian cadet team in the `European Cup 2023, a tournament held in the Portuguese town of Coimbra where the athlete from the Judo Club Torremolinos competed in the -90 kilos category.
