Legend sports stars will be mobilized in large numbers at the 2023 Jeonbuk Asia Pacific Masters Competition (APMG Asia Pacific Masters), which is the ‘International Comprehensive Sports Competition for Living Athletes’.
The Asia-Pacific Masters will be held in Jeonbuk, including Iksan, from the 12th to the 20th, and 14,000 people from 71 countries will participate in 25 events including track and field, soccer and badminton.
Olympic gold medalist Park Seong-hyeon (archery), Jung So-young and Kim Dong-moon (badminton), and Hyun Jung-hwa (table tennis), who are public relations committee members for this Asia Pacific Masters, will attend the opening ceremony on the 13th to shine. Seung-min Yoo, the winner of table tennis at the Athens Olympics and a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Athletes Commission, will serve as the torch bearer for the final tournament.
The legendary stars will hold an autograph session and photo time for participating players and fans at the stadium.
Archers Park Seong-hyeon, Yoon Mi-jin, Lee Seong-jin, and Park Gyeong-mo compete with athletes at the archery range and give one-point lessons. At the basketball court, Woo Ji-won and Kim Areum meet with fans. ‘God of shooting’ Jin Jong-oh, squash’s Gurunhoe, and hockey’s Lee Nam-yong will also hold a fan signing event.
