The Estepona City Council informs that players from the Estepona Badminton Club traveled last Sunday to Villanueva de Algaidas, to participate in the first venue of the third edition of the Malaga Provincial Circuit.
The local players played a great role, highlighting, firstly, the two golds in IM senior amateur and DM senior, for José Luis Hernández; third place for Julio Román in federated absolute IM; second place for Julio Román, together with Rodrigo Carnero (Jorge Guillén), in federated absolute DM; first place for Jairo Cano in IM sub 11 amateur; second place for Jairo Cano and Guillermo Hernández in amateur DM sub 13; third place for Guillermo Hernández in IM sub 13 amateur; third place for Blanca Román in federated IF under 15; third place for Blanca Román together with María Moreno (Málaga Evolution) in the federated sub 15 DF; third place for Javier Cano in IM senior amateur, and second place in DM senior amateur with Sergio Torres (Málaga Evolution); second place in IM senior amateur for Sebastian Jr Cojín; and first place in senior DM for Sebastian Jr Cojín together with José Luis Hernández. In addition, the Provincial Circuit of the Diputación de Málaga, the prize for the oldest player in the tournament, went to the wrestler Javier Cano.
