Grégoire Barrère, 63rd in the world and last Frenchman in the running at the ATP 1000 in Rome, was eliminated in the third round this Sunday by Francisco Cerundolo (6-7, 6-2, 6-2), 31st in the world.

In a sluggish start to the match, where the two players did not engage, Grégoire Barrère took advantage of the Argentine’s jerks to take control of the match. But the Frenchman, with only one out of 10 converted break point, failed to seize his chance and crack his opponent for good.
