IMMOunited Bundesliga presented by win2day: The preview of the 2023 season – ÖTV

Here we go: On Saturday, May 13, the IMMOunited Bundesliga presented by win2day starts the new season from 11:00 a.m. 2023 will bring some changes: In addition to the new presenting sponsor win2day, all doubles matches will be played before singles matches in the top division of the Austrian team championship. In addition, this time, on each individual match day, one match and the entire Final Four from all six match locations will be broadcast on the ÖTV TV video platform at www.oetv.tv (click here for an overview of the exact broadcast schedule).

And a lot has changed in the teams too. The ÖTV contacted all teams in advance in order to gather all the information about arrivals, departures, goals and the winning tip for all teams. This is how the team captains look at this year’s game:

DAMEN

1. Bundesliga

Group A

Raiffeisen bank TC Bludenz
Team captain: Ajit Alexander
Arrivals: Zdena Safarova (Czech Republic), Camilla Gennaro (Italy), Denisa Satralova (Czech Republic), Marie Mayerova (Czech Republic)
Departures: –
Target for 2023: Relegation
Winner tip for 2023: Linz AG Team OÖ

TC Bakl Weigelsdorf
Team leader: Thomas Christ
Additions: Reka Luca Jani (Hungary), Radka Zelnícková (Slovakia), Ines Faltinger, Lisa Lausecker (back after a long injury break)
Departures: Anne Schäfer (Germany), Chantal Skamlova (Slovakia; end of career), Nicole Mikulan (change of club), Amelie Gindl (change of club)
Goal for 2023: Like every year, the Final Four, but it won’t be easy because, like every year, we have injured players. It is very painful that our Leonie Rabl is out.
The winning tip for 2023: I would have to say “we” here. But you have to keep your feet on the ground: With our financial resources, the Final Four is already a success. Like every year, the Linz AG Team Upper Austria will probably be the champion of the women, since they have the best Austrians and of course the necessary change.

TC Dornbirn by Tannenhof Resort
Team leader: Melanie Pinkitz
Additions: Josymar Escalona Rodriguez (Venezuela), Louanne Mey Camille Djafari (Germany), Anna Payer, Eva Woydt, Ida Sophie Clement (Germany), Lotte Helmensdorfer (Germany), Athina Ströhle, Francesca Parcelli (Germany)
Departures: Tamira Paszek, Theresa Kleinsteuber (Germany), Vanessa Langes (Germany), Nadine Mathis, Elena Rief (Germany), Isabell Raich, Melanie Pinkitz, Tina Manzl
Objective for 2023: We said goodbye to a number of long-standing players this year and are focusing this year on the increased involvement of our youngsters. We want to give our younger players in particular the opportunity to gain a foothold in the Bundesliga. The team is highly motivated and looking forward to the start of this season. The clear goal for this season is to stay in the league.
Winner tip for 2023: UTC Fischer Ried

LINZ AG Team Upper Austria
Team leader: Janina Toljan
Additions: Weronika Falkowska (Poland); otherwise no additions because we have been careful for years to have a long-term team and therefore have few changes.
Departures: –
Goal for 2023: To be in the Final Four.
Winning tip for 2023: The best team will prevail, but I hope we can play for victory again.

1. Klosterneuburger TV

Winning tip for 2023: –

TC Sparkasse Kufstein
Team leader: Markus Erler
Additions: Ema Vasic
Departures: Alena White
Objective for 2023: We want to surprise again this year, have fun and offer the girls and the club a platform.
Winning tip for 2023: –

UTC Fischer Ried
Team leader: Florian Reiter
Additions: Lena Papadakis (Germany), Silvia Ambrosio (Germany), Kathleen Kanev (Germany), Anna Klasen (Germany)
Out: Antonia Lottner (Germany); on the other hand, Vanessa Huber, Anna Sattlegger and Alina Denk are not really leaving, they play in our 2nd team OÖ-Liga.
Objective for 2023: We were in the Final Four semi-finals in 2022, in the final in 2021. Of course we want to make it into the Final Four again in 2023 and play for the title, so we have also strengthened ourselves in the front positions in order to be able to at least partially replace any failures – such as that of Sinja Kraus in the Final Four 2022 . The Final Four qualification will certainly not be a sure-fire success, Group B is an extremely strong, balanced group, where a lot depends on who will serve on the respective match day. The fact that the ITF tournaments are taking place in Austria parallel to the Bundesliga makes it even more exciting. Our Powergirls are currently in good shape and are doing excellently across the board in their international and national tournaments, so we are confident that we can make the group phase successful. But we don’t put any pressure on ourselves, we take it as it comes, like every year, and above all we want to offer great tennis in front of our home crowd. The girls are on their own for most of the year anyway, so it’s all the nicer when you meet up for the Bundesliga games and can also do something off the pitch. For example, this year we have a fashion shoot with the LYVEM label after our 2021 wedding shoot.
Winner tip for 2023: I think there are 3-4 teams with outsider chances and of course the one big favourite. It is clear that the title will only lead to the series champion LINZ AG Team OÖ. Of course, an Upper Austria derby in the Bundesliga final would be great for us and we could easily play.

TC Raiffeisen Schwaz
Team leader: Franziska Anna Hotter
Additions: Tereza Mrdeza (Croatia), Romana Ciskova (Slovakia), Franziska Maus (Germany)
Departures: –
Target for 2023: Relegation
