Katia Dupin, member of the ASAM/Archers Club Marmandais has just obtained the tenth medal of her career. And not the least, the one in or in the compound bow category. A beautiful reward for this athlete who has been practicing for 16 years.

It was in Meilhan-sur-Garonne that the latter began on archery under the chairmanship of Mr. Serge Fallot. Thereafter, the club having ceased the activity, it is in Marmande that she continues her passion. She starts with a recurve bow.

Her participation in the French championships has brought her many satisfactions since she gleans six podiums including four in gold and two in silver.

A warrior

Having physical problems, Katia does not let go, changes her weapon and opts for a compound bow, easier to keep armed but requiring greater precision.

After this changeshe notices a weakness in maintaining the arch on the right side.

Regional Youth Tournaments: they continue

In 2022, the young archers of Marmande U18 and U21 brought home the regional trophy, by team. This year, with the same licensees: Manon Picard, Théo Gleyroux, Matthias Teyssedre, Corentin Hammaecher, in recurve, won the first round which took place in Arcachon, against the Boé team.
This weekend, it is in Lescar that they will play the second round. For this they will have as reinforcement Lucie Filhastre who participates in national youth tournaments, facing competitors from the France hopes poles.

But with her fighter mentality, Katia decides to change by shooting from the left side.

Successful bet, it’s the fourth gold medal in this category, despite the Covid years which made it lose a few points. The future promises excellent results, with training having resumed normally.
