Will Davante Adams be traded from the Raiders in the coming weeks?
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been reading a number of unflattering comments from WR Davante Adams to his current organization, the Las Vegas Raiders. In an attempt to calm things down, he uploaded a photo of himself with GM Dave Ziegler, whom he called “the man” out of respect for him.
However, according to what Mike Florio has heard lately this would just be an attempt to publicly say that his real problem is with someone else on the team. The uncertainty of who it could be leads to speculation about an imminent departure this summer, since he would not be comfortable in that place, according to this information.
The financial incentive is also important for the Raiders, as freeing up several million dollars in current cap space and $23.6 million in 2024, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.
Focusing more attention on the aspect of the salary cap, this has its conditions: after June 1 they can achieve that their impact this year is only 7.85 million dollars and obtain that important space of 23.6 million dollars the following year. As always, this will depend on how badly they need the money at the moment.

AJ Brown is almost hit by a car while riding a bike
While the Eagles’ Autism Foundation’s annual challenge was a huge success, raising more than $6.2 million for autism research and care, not everyone had the best time.
WR AJ Brown had his good deed of the day cut short by a driver who nearly hit him during the event, as reported by NJ.com
Brown, who was also on a live stream on Instagram, recorded the incident. Apparently a vehicle drove at a stop sign and almost hit him, luckily he was uninjured. This was said by the receiver shortly after the scare, via Twitter:
“I’m fine… Someone ran a stop sign. I didn’t fall off my bike. I just dropped my phone and got off the road. Take care of everyone.”
Later, Brown would mock saying that he saw a lone star on the license plates of the vehicle, alluding to a fan of the Cowboys, rivals that he will face again twice in the 2023 NFL Calendar.

The Patriots signed the first female scout in their history
For the first time in the history of the New England Patriots, the team will have a woman in its scout group starting this 2023 NFL season.
According to Mike Reiss through his Sunday column in ESPN it was learned that Maya Ana Callender will be your full time scout, the first of its kind in the franchise. Previously, he had played with the Eagles in their training camp program in 2021.
In recent years, Callender was in charge of program operations at Princeton University. The coach there, Bob Surace, explained a little to Reiss what she did to get back to the NFL with one of her best-known franchises:
“She became our pro/NFL link, so every time a scout came in – which was probably 50 times last year – she fixed everything. She talked about the players, her injury history, how she evaluated her performances. So by the time the scouts came to see me, they didn’t have many questions to ask me. He was a bit irrelevant in that, which was a new thing for me. It was wonderful.”
This incredible display of skills will now be at the service of a professional team that will be much more demanding.
According to the journalist himself ESPN, the NFL had a total of 22 female scouts last year. At the rate that these hires are happening, there is less and less doubt that sooner or later there will be a woman in the position of GM of an organization. So we would have a perspective like no other for the first time in the sport.

Michael Onwenu isn’t ready to train with the Patriots yet
The New England Patriots’ star guard looks like he won’t get a chance to catch up with his fellow starters. The reason, according to a report, is an injury that has been haunting him since the end of last season.
Michael Onwenu would have suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of the season finale game against the Bills, causing him to have surgery to repair the damage. Unfortunately, the recovery will take a little longer and you won’t be ready to start the activities organized by the team from this week, reported by Mike Reiss.
His absence will be key when we consider that he played all but six snaps last season, so the Patriots are hoping for a recovery in time to be pivotal this year.
Onwenu was one of Bill Belichick’s great successes in recent years, cleaning up a bit of his bad name in the NFL Draft after several disastrous picks. After losing in the sixth round of 2020, he is now also playing for a juicy contract extension in 2024.
