The La Pampa delegation that competed in the 2023 Patagonian Integration Games, which took place in Puerto Madryn, finished with eight medals. La Pampa added 24 medals and was on the podium in six of the nine disciplines. The 2024 edition of these competitions will be in Neuquén.
In tennis, the doubles made up of Valentín Florez and Valentino Paloma Teves won gold after beating Neuquén 6-4, 6-2 in the final; while in women’s, Martina Zwenger Alaniz – Guadalupe Picón Fernández lost the final with Chubut 6-3 and 6-4 and added silver.
In singles, Florez won bronze in the men’s category by beating Tierra del Fuego 6-1 and 6-0 and Picón Fernández fell to Río Negro 6-7, 6-2 and 10/7 and finished fourth.
In taekwondo, the two teams from Pampas achieved bronze. The masculine was made up of Alejo Lamarca, Tomás Kloster and Giovani Villegas; the feminine Nayla Acosta, Zoé Funes and Sol Bernalla.
Finally, in badminton there was a gold and two bronzes. Gold from Alexander Yurk was in SL4; the bronzes of Melisa Ayala in CU7 and the female double made up of Lourdes Maldonado – Catalina Santomingo.
24 MEDALS
In this way, La Pampa completed its participation with a total of 24 medals, making the podium in six of the nine disciplines that are part of the contest that brought together 600 boys from all the Patagonian provinces in gymnastics, tennis, taekwondo, wrestling, lifting, climbing (for the first time), table tennis, badminton and archery.
