Quimsa “swept” Gymnastics and waits in the final of the National League for Instituto or Boca

Quimsa from Santiago del Estero settled the semifinal series by beating Gimnasia in Comodoro Rivadavia 84-74, closing it with a 3-0 “sweep” and getting a ticket to the final of the National Basketball League. The cast from Santiago qualified for the third year following the definition of the maximum Argentine tournament.

Quimsa awaits the winner of the other semifinal, which Instituto beats Boca 2-1 and this Monday will have the fourth episode of the series. Still without official confirmation, the National League final would begin on June 6.

The team led by Leandro Ramella prevailed at the Ciudad Stadium by 83-69 and 91-77, and finished the key in the Socios Fundadores, in which Gimnasia was not as strong this season as in previous campaigns.

Quimsa had taken a 20-point difference closing the third segment, while Gimnasia reacted in the fourth period, coming to discount by 6 (74-80) with less than two minutes to play. The people of Santiago closed firmly to advance to the final, the fifth in their history in the League, third in a row.
