Havana, May 29 (RHC) The Cuban ambassador to Georgia and concurrent from Azerbaijan, Carlos Valdés attended the celebration for the Independence Day of the South Caucasus nation on Monday.
The diplomat told the Prensa Latina news agency that during the activity he conveyed to his Georgian counterpart in Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, the congratulations sent by the Cuban head of state, Miguel Díaz Canel, on the occasion of the anniversary.
Valdés specified that, during the activity, he also briefly exchanged with the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, who led the delegation for his country to the celebrations for the Independence Day of Georgia.
Similarly, the head of the Cuban mission in Baku congratulated Asadov to the Azerbaijani people and Government for the date that is celebrated every May 28.
