Last Saturday, April 29, the national ranking badminton Asturias Top Ttr was held at the Tejerona sports center in Gijón.
The so-called cider tournament with 182 players from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, La Rioja, Navarra, Castilla y León, the Canary Islands and some players from Belgium and one from India, a tournament for all categories except the sub-11. Vegadeo Badminton club once again achieved excellent results: 2 GOLD, 2 SILVER AND
2 BRONZES. The player from Club Veigueño, Gabriela López, achieved a double, winning in the under-13 women’s singles and in the under-13 mixed doubles with her partner Alex Acevedo, the silver was won by Sara Argüelles in the under-15 singles and Silvia Món in the under-17 women’s doubles, the bronzes were for Alex Acevedo in individual sub 13 and Jose Fdez in individual sub 15. Eneko Rguez also played in sub 13, a 9-year-old player who played in the sub 13 category showing a great game.
Gonzalo Álvarez from the Vegadeo badminton club also participated in this weekend in the U13 and U15 Masters at San Lorenzo de Escorial in Madrid. Ruth Veiguela also played the Spanish University Championship with the University of Oviedo.
